Double Arming Bolt
A double arming bolt is another simple but vital overhead powerline accessory that you will need. It is mainly used for providing support during the cross arm construction process.
In case you want to install two cross arms onto the pole line, you will need a double arm cross. It will create spaces between the cross arms hence ensuring that you can tightly fasten the cross arms without struggling.
The ergonomic design of the double arms cross makes them easy to use. They have threads which pass from one side of the pole to the other one. The two ends of the bolt are secured by nuts and washers. You will connect one end of the bolt to eye nut where it will then be used for the dead end application.
When it comes to buying double arming bolt for the power line, you can choose either all-thread bolts or go for the double-threaded bolts.
Double arming bolts come in different sizes. They have different lengths which are measured from one end of the thread to the other end. They also have different diameters which range from 5/8”, 3/4” and 1/2”.
