Aluminum Support for ADSS
The Fiberlign Aluminum Support (FAS) is a crucial component for supporting All-Dielectric Self-Supporting (IKLAN) fiber optic cables. This versatile device gently yet firmly secures ADSS cables on utility poles or towers. The FAS is designed for in-line support with a maximum angle change of 20° and can handle spans up to 600 feet without additional reinforcement. For longer spans between 600 Dan 1200 kaki, Structural Reinforcing Rods (SRR) are required to enhance the support capability of the Aluminum Support.
The Aluminum Support consists of a base and keeper made from high-strength aluminum alloy, with soft, pliable dielectric inserts to protect the cable. It can be easily installed using bolts, bands, or standoff brackets, depending on the structure type. The FAS is part of a comprehensive ADSS hardware system that includes dead-ends, suspension units, and vibration dampers. This aluminum support is also known as an ADSS suspension clamp or tangent support in some industry contexts.
Fitur:
• Color-coded range-taking inserts for easy identification
• Can function as a pull-through during installation (up to 15° total angle)
• Compatible with various mounting styles (bolted, banded, or standoff)
• Supports single or double cable configurations
• Facilitates faster and more cost-effective installation
• Compact design for reduced environmental impact

Pertanyaan yang Sering Diajukan (Pertanyaan Umum)
How is the FAS mounted to structures?
The FAS can be mounted using either a 5/8″-11 (M16) through-bolt/double-arming bolt for wood poles and structures with through holes, or banded to structures without through holes using the band slot at the base of the FAS.
What are the maximum span length capabilities?
Under NESC Heavy conditions, the maximum recommended span lengths are 600′ (183 M) for cables with OD < 1.00″ (25 mm) and 300′ (91 M) for cables with OD > 1.00″ (25 mm). The vertical loading should not exceed 1000# (4.4 buku).
What is the maximum line angle for mounting?
The maximum recommended line angle for permanent installations is 20° in most applications, with some exceptions allowing up to 30°. For angles exceeding these limits, an Aluminum Suspension should be used instead.
Can multiple cables be stacked using FAS?
Ya, FAS supports multi-cable installations. The first unit mounts against the pole, and additional units extend horizontally using 5/8″ (M16) baut. For installations with more than two cables, a brace is required to support the cantilever load.
What type of cushioning protects the cable?
The FAS uses soft pliable dielectric material cushion inserts that gently grip the ADSS cable. During stringing applications, these inserts can be removed to allow the cable to rest loosely in the housing.
