Bolt Eyelet

Powertelcom is an eyelet manufacturer in China, we supply three types of eyelets: straight thimble eyelet, angle thimble eyelet and ovaleye eyelet.

Eyelets are also called eye bolts, eye screws or eye nuts. They are available in different sizes and you can choose one that matches the needs of your application. Hot deep galvanized steel is the preferred material for eyelets due to its strength and durability.

The eyelets are mainly used in transmission lines, the dimensions resemble the eye of a needle with an opening just large enough to fit over a bolt that is inserted into it. The eyelet eye diameter can be any size between .041″ to 1.0″.

There is a coupling hub that screws onto the end of a bolt or stud with a hex shape for an Allen wrench, and this can be screwed into the large hole on the end of a bolt eyelet to connect two pieces of tubing together.

Some of the application areas of bolt eyelets include transmission power lines and telecommunication lines.

Eyelets are used in transmission line applications when a secure connection is necessary, eyelets have high tensile strength and can easily be connected to other pieces of tubing using the coupling hub. The eyelet provides electrical insulation between the equipment it is connecting and its environment.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What are eyelets for transmission lines?

Eyelets are a type of eye bolt for securing lines to poles, eye nuts or eye bolts. The eyelet can be used on wooden poles as well as steel.

What are the types of eyelets?

There are three different types of bolt eyelets. These are thimble eyelet, ovaleye bolt eyelet and angle thimble eyelet. There is a slight variation of design and specification of these eyelets.

What are the applications of eyelets?

Eyelets are ideal for making quick temporary attachments to poles or structures when your application requires a connection that is stronger than available tie wire but not as permanent as bolts or studs. These include power lines and telecommunication lines.

What eyelet eye opening diameter do you use in transmission lines?

The eyelet eye opening diameter is used for the bolt that will be inserted into it. Eyelets vary from high-quality eye bolts, usually up to 6

Where do you Install eyelets?

You install an eyelet by drilling a hole in the wood, usually about 1/4 inch deep, and then driving the eyelet eye into the hole. The eyelet eye should be larger than the eye of the eye bolt you're using, so it can spread and grip better.
